The chase is on for Mario Gila, and Paris Saint-Germain are stepping up their efforts. According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Ligue 1 champions have submitted an offer for the 24-year-old Spanish centre-back, currently under contract with Lazio until 2027.
A verbal agreement has reportedly been reached between PSG and the player’s camp. Gila is said to be a favourite of Luis Enrique, who values his versatility, tactical awareness, and room for growth.
Lazio want more – and the race is heating up
But the deal is far from done. Lazio are demanding €40 million, partly because 50% of any future sale must go to Real Madrid, Gila’s former club. As revealed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, PSG’s €35 million bid was rejected by club president Claudio Lotito.
PSG are expected to return with an improved offer, but face growing competition: Manchester City and Bayern Munich are both monitoring the situation.
The battle for Gila is officially underway.
