Flop at PSG, flop at MU but a big check approaching for Paris

Manuel Ugarte, signed for €50 million by PSG in 2023 and then pushed towards the exit by Luis Enrique, is experiencing another nightmare at Manchester United. So much so that his departure is already being considered.

Seen as the successor to Marco Verratti, Manuel Ugarte is struggling. Neither in Paris nor in Manchester. Unable to establish himself despite more than 50 matches, the Uruguayan is disappointing, and MU is already looking to put him on the market as early as this winter, according to ESPN.

And here, Paris could hit the jackpot… or almost. Thanks to a resale clause set at 10%, PSG would receive a check on his next transfer. The problem is: Ugarte has lost value, and Manchester would now only ask for €35 million, which means about €3.5 million for Paris.

3.5 million euros in the coffers for a former transfer, not bad

Not enough to replenish the coffers, but enough to recover a small unexpected amount. PSG is closely monitoring the situation: the more Ugarte is sold for a high price, the bigger the Parisian check grows. The case is not closed… and Paris still hopes for a nice transfer deal.
