Just a few hours before the trip to Metz this Saturday (7 p.m., Ligue 1+), the only certainty surrounding PSG is uncertainty itself. For this 16th matchday of the 2025–2026 Ligue 1 season, Luis Enrique is keeping everyone guessing, to the point that the French press is putting forward two radically different starting lineups.
According to Le Parisien, Paris would line up in a 4-3-3 formation with Mbaye, Ramos and Doué in attack, a young and bold midfield trio made up of Mayulu, Lee and Ndjantou, and a classic defense in front of Safonov.
Two Conflicting Lineup Scenarios
L’Équipe, for its part, envisions a far more experienced eleven, with Barcola starting in attack alongside Ramos and Mbaye, a Ruiz–Vitinha–Lee midfield, and Chevalier preferred between the posts.
Two visions, two approaches, but one shared conclusion: Luis Enrique is set to rotate his squad. Just three days after the trip to Bilbao, rotation seems inevitable. The question remains who will be able to string games together, who will get their chance, and which profiles will be favored between versatility, competition, and physical management.
Some players also need to accumulate playing time to build momentum, such as Désiré Doué. Starter or impact substitute? Once again, doubt remains. As often, the truth will be revealed an hour before kickoff. Until then, total uncertainty surrounds the Parisian lineup.
Le Parisien (4-3-3)
Mbaye – Ramos – Doué
Mayulu – Lee – Ndjantou
Hernandez – Pacho – Zabarnyi – Zaïre-Emery
Safonov
L’Équipe (4-3-3)
Barcola – Ramos – Mbaye
Ruiz – Vitinha – Lee
Hernandez – Pacho – Zabarnyi – Zaïre-Emery
Chevalier
