PSG. “A Playstation goal”: Luis Enrique shocked by Dembélé

After PSG’s convincing victory against Lille (3-0), Luis Enrique expressed satisfaction while remaining demanding. Speaking to BeIN Sports, the Parisian coach praised the success and his team’s return to the top of the league, while acknowledging that the start of the match had been complicated against a LOSC capable of effectively playing out from the back.

He highlighted the significant improvement in the second half, particularly in pressing, and was pleased with the regained efficiency, unlike the previous match against Paris FC.

Luis Enrique especially praised Ousmane Dembélé, who scored a brace and a spectacular goal that he described as a “Playstation goal.”

However, he also reminded his winger of his expectations, believing he could still do more, particularly in defensive recovery and leadership. For the Spanish coach, Dembélé has the potential to be a leader, and PSG needs to see him continue to grow in strength.

“Ousmane… but I expect more from him”

“It feels good, that’s for sure, when there are victories and it’s important. We are starting the second half of the season and it’s important to win. But Lille played well, we had problems at the start of the match. We saw the issues in the first half; they managed to break our pressing more easily, we had to run with our heads. We had a better second half. We pressed better and it worked.”

“Today, we had the luck that we didn’t have in the last match against Paris FC. Ousmane Dembélé? It’s an incredible goal from a different player, a Playstation goal. We want to see and enjoy Ousmane again, but I expect more from him, in defensive recoveries, because he can be a leader, I want even more from him. We need his level,” said Luis Enrique.
