Shaken at the start of the match and saved by the crossbar in the 2nd minute from a shot by Giroud, PSG struggled for a long time against a very proactive Lille. The Northerners put in a lot of intensity for half an hour but paid for their lack of efficiency.
Paris opened the scoring with a brilliant strike from Ousmane Dembélé (13th minute), who scored with a low long-range shot. After the break, PSG clearly took control of the match. Lille retreated and hardly existed offensively (no shots for over 55 minutes).
The moment of the match came in the 64th minute: Dembélé scored an exceptional goal, a left-footed lob after a dazzling display in the box. At the end of the match, Bradley Barcola took advantage of a Lille mistake to seal the score (90+3).
