Five Departures at PSG, Major Squad Clear-Out Planned for Next Summer

A clear-out is being prepared at Paris Saint-Germain. Very quiet during the winter transfer window, the capital club made almost no signings, but is working behind the scenes on a summer market focused on trimming the squad and making major roster adjustments.

The calm before the shake-up. This winter, Paris stayed low-key: no major arrivals, only the signing of Dro and the conversion of a Tunisian loan into a permanent transfer. According to Eurosport journalist Romain Collet-Gaudin, the real push has been postponed until the summer. The management wants to rely on stability until the end of the season before making decisive cuts.

Defensive overhaul and key attacking decisions ahead

The first major project should concern the defense. Departures are being considered, notably for Lucas Hernandez and Lucas Beraldo. To compensate, the Jules Koundé option is being explored. The message is clear: a defensive reorganization is already in the pipeline.

Up front, several cases are considered sensitive. The contract situations of Ousmane Dembélé and Bradley Barcola will need to be resolved, while Gonçalo Ramos’ status is fueling internal discussions within Luis Enrique’s staff. With a lighter wage bill, Paris will have financial flexibility — but will need to target its choices more precisely.
