The Maghnes Akliouche case is starting to seriously shake up the Paris Saint-Germain transfer window… but internally, things may not be as simple as they seem.
According to PSGInside-Actus, several tensions have reportedly emerged in recent months during negotiations with the AS Monaco wonderkid. PSG reportedly believed several times that a deal was close before seeing the demands explode: agent bonuses, new conditions, and additional requests are said to have irritated some key decision-makers at the club.
PSG Ready for a Massive Deal
Despite that, PSG have not completely abandoned this huge move. An aggressive return for the player could still happen this summer, especially if some other attacking targets become unavailable during the transfer window.
According to Foot Mercato, Maghnes Akliouche remains one of PSG’s priority targets for the summer market. The outlet even claims the transfer “could become a record” sale for Monaco. The player is currently valued at around €50 million, but Monaco have reportedly demanded between €70 million and €80 million for months, or even years. It is nowhere near the Kylian Mbappé transfer figures, but it would still represent a huge investment.
Behind the scenes, however, not everyone at PSG is said to be fully aligned. PSGInside-Actus reports that Luis Enrique appreciates Akliouche’s profile without making him an absolute priority, unlike the Julián Alvarez case, which reportedly enjoys stronger support internally. The Akliouche saga is therefore far from over, and PSG are still exploring several other attacking options in parallel.
