PSG Completes Fine €35m Sale

The summer transfer window has been open for three weeks in France, and Paris Saint-Germain have still not officially announced a single new signing. But when it comes to departures, Paris are already moving very quickly. After Gonçalo Ramos, Kang-in Lee is now edging seriously closer to the exit.

After Ramos, Kang-in Lee is heading towards the door. The most significant departure of this early transfer window remains that of Gonçalo Ramos. The Portuguese supersub was transferred to AC Milan for a fee estimated between €70 million and €74 million, excluding bonuses. A huge operation for PSG, as it is simply the second-biggest sale in the club’s history.

Kang-in Lee closing in on Atlético Madrid move

And the squad-trimming process could continue very quickly. According to Fabrizio Romano, the agreement between Paris Saint-Germain and Atlético Madrid for Kang-in Lee is now in its final stages. The last details are being settled, and the Spanish club wants to complete the operation quickly. The deal is said to be worth between €30 million and €35 million, meaning PSG are set to make a very good sale. Lee was bought for €22 million excluding bonuses in 2023.

The South Korean attacking midfielder therefore looks closer than ever to leaving Paris. Signed with high expectations, Kang-in Lee never fully managed to establish himself as an undisputed starter in Luis Enrique’s system, despite his obvious technical qualities and strong market value.

For PSG, this departure would allow the club to continue reorganising the squad. After Ramos, Paris could bring in another major fee and free up space in their attacking department before accelerating their own targets in the coming weeks. The famous “Here we go” is therefore getting closer for Kang-in Lee to Atlético Madrid. Paris have not signed anyone yet, but their transfer window is already well underway in terms of departures.
