The Erling Haaland saga continues to excite Europe’s biggest clubs. After four seasons at Manchester City, the Norwegian striker could eventually consider taking on a new challenge.
Haaland still has Paris in the back of his mind, but Real Madrid are lurking. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish giants remain in the striker’s thoughts for the future. A departure is not expected this summer, but the Madrid option is reportedly seen as a real possibility in the medium term.
PSG Still Dreaming of Haaland
And the Cyborg’s father added fuel to the fire on Sunday evening: “Haaland to Real Madrid? Maybe it will happen one day. Who wouldn’t want to play for Real Madrid?” That was always going to make PSG react. Paris have long dreamed of signing the biggest strikers on the planet, and Haaland clearly belongs in that elite category. With his unique profile, power, efficiency and status as a goal machine, the Norwegian would represent a truly monumental signing for the capital club.
The situation at Manchester City could also matter in the coming months. With Pep Guardiola’s announced departure and Enzo Maresca’s arrival on the Citizens’ bench, Haaland could be tempted to think about his future if things do not click with his new coach. For now, there is no question of an immediate departure, but the file could open later.
Speaking on Rothen s’enflamme, Alf-Inge Haaland revived speculation around PSG with very flattering words about the Parisian club, while leaving the door slightly open for the future. “PSG are a fantastic club. They are coming off two incredible seasons with two Champions League titles. It is a very big club. At the time, the rumours were not true; the timing simply was not right,” he said. Under contract with Manchester City until 2034, Erling Haaland remains an extremely complicated target. His value is estimated at around €200 million, and Real Madrid could make a serious move in the future. But Alf-Inge Haaland’s words keep PSG’s hopes alive: “I don’t know, the future will tell us, but nothing is impossible.”
