Paris Saint-Germain were not only looking to strengthen their defense in the final hours of the transfer window. The French champions also explored several attacking options in an attempt to add more depth to their forward line.
PSG still wanted another attacker. In the space of just a few hours, Luis Enrique’s attacking options had been significantly reduced following the departures of Ibrahim Mbaye and Bradley Barcola, prompting the coaching staff to seek reinforcements.
Kroupi and Balogun Were Considered by PSG
According to PSGInside-Actus, two names were notably considered: Eli Junior Kroupi and Folarin Balogun. However, Paris were unable to make significant progress on either deal. Bournemouth reportedly refused to consider letting Kroupi leave, making it clear that they intended to keep the young forward and quickly ending PSG’s hopes of a last-minute move.

Folarin Balogun was another option explored by PSG. The Parisian club reportedly showed interest in the striker, but he ultimately decided to continue his career in the Premier League. PSG therefore ended the transfer window without an additional attacking reinforcement, with a lack of time, reluctant clubs and decisions already made by certain players preventing Paris from completing another signing.
