PSG Back in for Leny Yoro Two Years Later?

Could PSG make another move for Leny Yoro? Two years after trying to sign the former Lille defender, Paris are reportedly keeping a very close eye on his situation at Manchester United. The 20-year-old Frenchman has struggled for playing time since the start of the season, raising questions about his future in England. Arsenal are also believed to be monitoring the situation.

Yoro is a familiar name at Paris Saint-Germain. The French defender was one of the club’s main defensive targets in the summer of 2024 before eventually leaving Lille to join Manchester United. PSG and Real Madrid were both interested at the time, but United won the race by paying more than €60 million to convince LOSC to sell. Two years later, his situation has changed significantly and Paris could look to take advantage.

PSG Remain Very Interested in Leny Yoro

According to Daily Briefing, several major European clubs are now monitoring Yoro, with PSG reportedly among the teams showing the strongest interest. Arsenal are also keeping tabs on him, while Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea and AC Milan have also been linked. A renewed PSG move would make sense: at just 20, Yoro still has considerable room for development, knows Ligue 1 extremely well and fits the profile of the young, high-potential players Paris have targeted in recent seasons.

His lack of playing time at Manchester United could fuel speculation. After featuring regularly under Ruben Amorim, Yoro has slipped down the pecking order since Michael Carrick’s arrival, with Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire preferred in central defence. The Frenchman reportedly remains determined to turn things around and establish himself at Old Trafford, but a departure could eventually become an option if his situation does not improve. United are also said to be monitoring several centre-backs ahead of 2027.

However, a transfer is far from imminent. Manchester United reportedly still count on Yoro and have no immediate intention of pushing him towards the exit. His contract runs until 2029, with an option for an additional year, leaving the Red Devils in a strong position. No PSG offer or negotiations between the clubs have been reported at this stage. For Paris, the situation carries particular significance after missing out on Yoro in 2024. PSG are back in the picture and monitoring his reduced role at United, but there is still a long way to go before renewed interest turns into a concrete transfer move.
