PSG will stick to their usual look for their first major European showdown of the season. As the Parisians prepare to face Manchester City on Matchday 2 of the Champions League league phase, one detail about the highly anticipated clash has now emerged.
There will be no away kit or third kit for this European encounter. PSG are expected to wear their traditional navy blue home shirt, featuring the iconic red central stripe. Will it be sky blue against navy blue? Apparently not, as Manchester City are likely to opt for a different color, potentially their white third kit.
Manchester City vs PSG: A Major European Test for Luis Enrique
This news comes as PSG enter a particularly demanding period in their schedule. Following Saturday’s 3-1 Ligue 1 victory over Le Mans, Paris must now turn their attention to an opponent of a completely different caliber. Manchester City represent the first major test for Luis Enrique’s side in this European campaign. PSG made an impressive start by thrashing Slovan Bratislava 6-1 on Matchday 1 and will now look to build on that convincing performance against the English giants.

Beyond the choice of kit, attention is primarily focused on PSG’s starting lineup. After making extensive changes against Le Mans, Luis Enrique is expected to bring several key players back into the team for the trip to Manchester. Ousmane Dembélé and Nuno Mendes, who were rested for the previous match, are among those expected to return. Vitinha, Fabián Ruiz and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia could also reclaim their places in the starting eleven. The biggest selection dilemma concerns the attack, where Ferran Torres, Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé are competing for starting spots.
Manchester City vs PSG will take place on Wednesday, October 14, at 9 p.m. at the Etihad Stadium. The match will be broadcast live on Canal+. One thing now appears certain: PSG will attempt to defeat Manchester City wearing their traditional blue home kit.
