Didier Deschamps wasn’t very optimistic at halftime, stating, “His ankle has swollen significantly. He will undergo examinations, hoping it’s not too serious for him. That’s the only downside of this halftime.”
Later, the verdict came at the end of the match: “The examination is reassuring; there is no fracture. There is a significant sprain, but at least we can rule out immediate concerns about it.”
