Luis Enrique, the coach of Paris Saint-Germain, shared his thoughts following his team’s 3-0 victory over RC Strasbourg in the 9th round of Ligue 1. He spoke to PSG TV about his players’ performance.
“We are satisfied, indeed. It was a challenging match, especially after the international break. A match without our supporters and ultras made it somewhat strange. However, I believe the players and the team performed exceptionally well. They took the match very seriously, and we achieved this excellent result. We kept a clean sheet, secured three more points, and it’s the perfect preparation for the Champions League match.”
“As a coach, the idea is to empower all of my players. It’s clear that some players have had more playing time than others. But if we want to have a chance in all competitions, as I’ve mentioned before, we need the entire team. I’m fortunate because all the players I have in the squad are of a high standard.”
“Today, we made five or six changes with players who have been less regular, and they delivered top-notch performances. They are also putting pressure on those in the starting eleven, seeking more playing time.”
Luis Enrique’s praise for the team’s performance and his emphasis on squad depth reflects PSG’s strong start to the season and their ambitions for success in multiple competitions.
