21 injuries, total chaos at PSG

PSG no longer has a team, but a hospital. After Dembélé and Hakimi against Bayern, Paris has reached an unprecedented level: 21 injuries since August, twelve players affected, fatigue, lesions, viruses… A disaster never seen before. Each match brings a new drama.

Luis Enrique must be tearing his hair out, and he doesn’t have much left. Since last September, PSG players have been falling one after another. And some multiple times… Mayulu, Barcola, Mendes, Hakimi, Doué, Dembélé, Kava, Marquinhos, Ruiz, Neves, and the list goes on. It sounds like a joke, but it’s not.

A harsh truth hits: Paris played with fire this summer. Tiny squad, minimal recruitment, ultra-demanding play… The result: the key players are exhausted, the young ones are cracking, and Luis Enrique is improvising as best he can.

Mission: survive until the transfer window

Miraculously, despite this physical carnage, PSG is leading Ligue 1 and is well positioned in the Champions League. No one understands how. But the balance is precarious: one more injury and the season could implode. Criticism is rising, and so is the pressure.

The goal until January: grit your teeth. No choice. Between heavy legs, a punishing schedule, and a decimated locker room, Paris is walking a tightrope. Winter needs to arrive quickly… and the transfer window will be much more violent than expected.
