4 away matches, a derby and a Clasico… PSG can’t take it anymore

PSG are preparing to experience a completely extraordinary end to the year. A true marathon, across France and far beyond, to close out 2025 at a relentless pace.

It all begins with a perilous trip to Bilbao in the Champions League, against a team known for its intensity and its fiery home crowd. Hardly time to catch their breath before the Parisians follow up with Metz in Ligue 1, a tricky match against a struggling opponent in what is always a delicate pre-break context.

An insane schedule at the end of the year

But the schedule doesn’t stop there. Next comes a journey to Qatar to compete in the Intercontinental Cup, a long and energy-draining trip that reflects the club’s international ambitions. Finally, it’s back to France to conclude the year with the Coupe de France and an away match against Vendée Fontenay, where PSG will have to avoid the classic slip-up against a fearless opponent.

2026 will start with a Paris derby and a Clasico. A crazy sequence that Luis Enrique accepts without looking for excuses. “We travel a lot, I don’t want to use that as an excuse. We travel in good conditions, but every time you travel, it affects fatigue. Still, I’ve seen a team that’s ready in training,” said the Paris coach. The message is clear: despite the exhaustion, PSG want to finish 2025 strong, focused and ambitious.
