5 signings without breaking the bank, the immense challenge for PSG

PSG has been frugal for a few seasons: recruitment is controlled, the wage bill is reduced, and there is no longer any question of signing contracts with outrageous salaries. Now, Paris will have to face some challenges: extending contracts for players whose deals are expiring.

After the major extensions of Vitinha, Hakimi, and Nuno Mendes last January, a new series of signings is being prepared. The top priority: Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembélé, both under contract until 2028. Sought after by Europe, Barcola could be secured, while Dembélé, just awarded the Ballon d’Or, expects a pay rise.

But Campos will not stop there. Three players whose contracts expire in June 2027 will also be involved: Senny Mayulu, Ibrahim Mbaye, and the very essential Fabián Ruiz.

But the challenge will be immense: for all these players, it will be necessary to sell the idea of signing new contracts with PSG: a fixed base and performance-related bonuses. This should not be too complicated for the last three mentioned. However, for Barcola and Dembélé, negotiations are expected to be more complex.

But PSG hopes to announce some extensions as early as January 2026. The goal: to secure the core of the Enrique project for the coming years and attract new talents by highlighting these new signings.
