Bayern Files Complaint Before Facing PSG!

Bayern Munich arrives at the Parc des Princes for a major clash against PSG in the Champions League this Tuesday evening. But even before the kickoff, tensions are already rising: the 2,000 Bavarian supporters expected in Paris may face a complicated trip.

The German club announced on Monday evening that it has filed a complaint with UEFA. The reason: last-minute measures imposed by the Paris police prefecture.

According to Bayern, these restrictions, deemed “hasty” and “unjustified,” make organizing the trip for their fans extremely difficult. Bayern points out that the security situation is the same as during the last confrontation in 2023, which makes this decision even more incomprehensible.

PSG Supports the Complaint

Specifically, the prefecture requires the supporters’ buses to gather at a toll booth at the city’s entrance, while other fans are mandated to use public transport exclusively to reach the Parc. After the match, a return to the initial vehicles is mandatory, escorted out of Paris. As a result, the buses are not expected to leave the capital until early morning, around 5 a.m.

Bayern criticizes the decision made too late, as everything had been planned for weeks. And they are not alone: PSG officially supports the Bavarian club’s initiative.

The German club is now considering other legal avenues to contest these measures. This controversy comes at an unfortunate time before a highly anticipated duel between two favorites in the Champions League.
