Thanks to a double from Achraf Hakimi in the first half (29th, 40th), the Parisians made the difference before the break, taking advantage of an unstoppable Kvaratskhelia and a well-oiled team. Brest tried to respond, but without truly threatening Chevalier before halftime.
In the second half, the Bretons had a big opportunity in the 58th minute with a penalty awarded… but missed by Del Castillo, who slipped at the moment of striking. Paris then managed the game, despite a few alerts, such as a big save from Chevalier in front of Baldé (88th). Substitute Désiré Doué nearly added to the score by hitting the post in the 90+3rd minute. He then scored the 3rd goal at the very end of stoppage time.
With this victory (3-0), PSG returns to the top of Ligue 1, one point ahead of OM, and confirms its excellent form after the European demonstration in Leverkusen. Next up is another away match on Wednesday, against Lorient, to continue this momentum.
