Coupe de France: PSG vs Paris FC, the probable lineups

Barely time to savor their latest Ligue 1 win, PSG are already diving back into the Coupe de France. On Monday night, the Parisians meet Paris FC again for a new chapter in a duel that has already gone their way in the league (2–1). This time, though, there is no margin for error: in the cup, punishment is immediate.

With a brutal schedule — Lille on Friday, then the Champions League the following week — Luis Enrique faces a dilemma: rotate or field a competitive team to avoid any mishap. Early indications point to a hybrid XI, mixing regulars and youth.

Projected lineups and key choices

For PSG, Chevalier is expected to keep his place in goal. In front of him, a familiar back line with Zaïre-Emery, Marquinhos, Pacho and Nuno Mendes. In midfield, the Neves–Vitinha–Ruiz trio is favored. Up front, Luis Enrique could trust Doué and Dembélé on the wings, with Ramos leading the line. The Portuguese striker, very impressive lately, has made his case and could start again.

Across the pitch, Paris FC should not tear up their plans. Trapp is expected in goal, with a defense close to the one used in Ligue 1. Up front, the Geubbels–Ikoné duo will be tasked with trying to pull off the upset and topple the Parisian giant.

In a classic trap match, PSG know they cannot take their foot off the gas and rotation will have its limits.
