Tensions are emerging around Fabián Ruiz at Paris Saint-Germain. Injured in his left knee after a collision against Sporting CP on January 20, the Spanish midfielder remains sidelined and no return date has yet been set.
The situation between PSG and Fabian Ruiz is becoming strained. According to Jérôme Rothen on RMC, the Parisian medical and technical staff are “asking serious questions” about the player’s situation. Speaking on RMC, the former PSG player relayed comments Ruiz allegedly made in private: “I’m preserving myself for the national team at the end of March because I’ve already given enough to PSG for now. I’m being careful when I start training again. I’ll return soon, but I don’t know exactly when.”
Internal frustration grows over the midfielder’s attitude
According to Rothen, the 29-year-old midfielder is reportedly certain to join the Spanish national team at the end of the month to prepare for the World Cup. This attitude is said to be going down very poorly within the club.
“I can tell you that it’s being very badly received inside the club. His mindset after saying everything and the opposite about his injury,” the consultant added. According to him, the situation could also be linked to the Spaniard’s recent contract extension, which reportedly puts him in a more comfortable position within the Parisian club.
