Free since leaving Getafe last summer, Juan Bernat is gearing up for a comeback. The former Paris Saint-Germain left-back has spent the past few months working on his fitness after yet another operation.
Now 31, Bernat is determined to return to the pitch and take on one last challenge. “After spending all of last season struggling with a pubalgia, I had to undergo surgery at the end of the campaign. For the past three weeks, I’ve been at 100%,” the Spanish defender revealed on his social media.
A comeback on the cards this winter?
Hampered since his serious knee injury in 2020, Bernat says he’s finally fully recovered and ready to compete again. A veteran defender, a champion in three countries, and a player with top-level experience, Juan Bernat is now looking for one last opportunity to revive his career when the winter transfer window opens.
