Loïc Tanzi has been very clear regarding Joao Neves’ future at Paris Saint-Germain. According to the journalist, we should not expect to see the Portuguese midfielder stay long-term in Paris.
Joao Neves will not be the new Marquinhos of PSG. It is simply impossible, assures the journalist from L’Equipe, Loïc Tanzi. On France Bleu, he explained: “Joao Neves at PSG for life? Unfortunately, that will not exist. There will be no more Marquinhos.”
“At some point, these are players who aspire to play elsewhere because they do not have a deep attachment to PSG,” adds the sports journalist.
Neves, 5 years at PSG and heading elsewhere
For Loïc Tanzi, careers spent almost entirely at a single club have become very rare, and the Portuguese will not be an exception. He even sees a fairly classic scenario unfolding for the future of the 21-year-old player.
“It’s normal. When you are Portuguese and you arrive at PSG, you do your 5 years and then you look elsewhere,” he added, believing that this type of career path has now become the norm for such profiles.
