PSG locker room Negative atmosphere, clarification from Enrique and Neves

Luis Enrique and Joao Neves tried to calm the controversy surrounding Ousmane Dembélé’s comments by presenting a composed and collective message on the eve of the playoff match against Monaco.

Asked about the Paris forward’s statement, the PSG coach refused to go into detail and chose instead to downplay the media buzz: “There is always a lot of noise around PSG. You have to accept it and… that’s it.” A short, deliberately closed response aimed at avoiding further debate.

For his part, Joao Neves provided a more detailed explanation, insisting that the locker room remains united and focused: “The atmosphere in the locker room is good, the players are confident, the mood is good, and we are ready for tomorrow.”

According to him, Dembélé’s words fit into a collective approach: “I think Ousmane talked about it and has already said it, but I believe he mainly wants to strengthen what we did last season: playing as a team, in a collective way.”

The Portuguese midfielder emphasized PSG’s playing identity: “It is one of PSG’s greatest strengths and we show it in every match through the way we play. I think that’s what he wanted to highlight.” He also dismissed any idea of internal tension: “When we have something to say to certain players, we say it face to face. Right now everything is fine, everyone is ready for tomorrow and in a good state of mind.”
