Nominated for the 2025 Golden Boy, Désiré Doué continues to stun the football world — and he’s now earning praise from legends. In an interview with Foot Mercato, Patrick Vieira didn’t hold back his admiration, placing the PSG starlet among the very best in the world.
Since that unforgettable night in May 2025, when Doué scored a decisive brace in the Champions League final against Inter Milan, his career has rocketed to a new level. “He scored in a Champions League final, he’s grown massively since Rennes and keeps progressing at Paris,” said Vieira.
“He’s been through difficult periods but never gave up. Lamine Yamal isn’t eligible this year, so for me, Doué will win. He’s exceptional — one of the best among the best,” the French icon added.
PSG’s jewel is back
At just 19 years old, and already 14th in the last Ballon d’Or, Doué has become one of the faces of PSG’s new generation. Now back in training after his injury in September, he’s ready to return to the pitch. Luis Enrique has confirmed his presence in the squad to face Strasbourg.
The PSG prodigy is back. And the world is watching.
