The final Ligue 1 match of the year comes before a major departure. Before flying out for the Intercontinental Cup, PSG face a crucial test away in Metz. On Saturday, December 12 at 7 p.m., the Parisians take on the league’s bottom side with one clear objective: make amends after surrendering the top spot in the standings.
Poorly placed and on a run of three straight defeats, Metz still arrive almost at full strength. Only Mangondo and Sy are unavailable. Hein, already the scorer of five goals this season, will be the main attacking threat. Diallo, recently back from injury, is also expected to start in an effort to unsettle Paris.
Key selection doubts and returns for PSG
On the PSG side, Luis Enrique welcomes back Désiré Doué but still has to cope with several absences. Will the youngster start? Dembélé remains highly doubtful, while Chevalier is almost certainly ruled out, which should lead to another start for Safonov in goal.
Kvaratskhelia is expected to be rested, while Marquinhos, dealing with adductor issues, should also be protected.
