Le Classique is approaching and tension is rising on both sides. PSG has resumed training this week with a clear objective: take all three points to stay at the top of Ligue 1. Opposite them, Marseille is fine-tuning its setup with a squad hit by a few absences but strengthened by several returning players ahead of Sunday’s clash.
Preparation resumed at the Campus with a session on Thursday and two more planned before Marseille’s visit to the Parc des Princes on Sunday at 8:45 pm. Paris has a lot at stake in the race for first place, with pressure coming from Lens. Achraf Hakimi is suspended.
Squad Updates and Key Absences Before the Clash
Quentin Ndjantou has rejoined the squad and could enter the rotation. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Fabian Ruiz are still receiving treatment and remain doubtful. Kvaratskhelia could return to the bench, but it looks too soon for Ruiz. Up to four players could be ruled out on the Paris side.
This Matchday 21 showdown is expected to be intense, with PSG close to its standard structure against an adjusted Marseille lineup. Luis Enrique may continue to manage players returning from injury, especially Ruiz, but should rely in attack on the Dembélé–Doué–Barcola trio. Safonov is expected to start in goal. On the Marseille side, Roberto De Zerbi is considering an attacking unit of Gouiri–Greenwood–Traoré to capitalize on quick transitions. There are no major injuries, but Aguerd is uncertain. Nnadi and Abdelli will be available. There is still doubt over the starting goalkeeper between De Lange and Rulli.
Probable lineups — PSG: Safonov – Zaïre-Emery, Marquinhos, Pacho, N. Mendes – J. Neves, Vitinha, Mayulu – D. Doué, O. Dembélé, Barcola. OM: Rulli – Pavard, Balerdi, Aguerd, Medina – Hojbjerg, Q. Timber – Greenwood, Nwaneri, H.J. Traoré – Gouiri.
