PSG responded perfectly after their defeat in Monaco by smashing Rennes 5-0 at the Parc des Princes. Completely in control, the Parisians first made the difference through a brilliant strike from Kvaratskhelia (1-0) and a pivot finish from Mayulu after a pass from Joao Neves (2-0). Safonov, impeccable, had already saved his team twice earlier in the match.

After the break, Paris kept rolling: Mayulu hit the crossbar, Barcola kept accelerating, and Kvara scored his second with a rocket under the bar (3-0), before Jacquet’s red card finished Rennes off. Mbaye added a superb top-corner strike (4-0) and Gonçalo Ramos sealed the night with a precise effort (5-0).
