Hugo Ekitike

Now thriving at Liverpool after a €95m move this summer, Hugo Ekitike has quickly silenced the doubters. With 3 goals in 4 games, the 23-year-old French striker looks reborn — a far cry from his troubled spell at PSG between 2022 and 2024.

Boosted by his loan at Eintracht Frankfurt, the new France international reflected on his time in Paris during an interview with Téléfoot:
“My time at PSG was a real learning experience. To sit here and say everything went well would be a lie. But it made me stronger. It was a lesson at every level. Today, it’s shaped me into a seasoned player.”

“You’d think I’m crazy…”

Ambitious as ever, Ekitike keeps his long-term goals to himself, but his mindset is clear:
“I’ve always been ambitious. If I told you my objectives every day, you’d think I was crazy. For me, it’s about performing and enjoying myself, because football is, above all, about pleasure.”
