Nasser AlKhelaïfi is clear: PSG is entering a new era. Proud of being named “President of the Year” by Tuttosport, the Paris boss explained his desire to continue the deep transformation launched two to three years ago.
PSG has changed. The era of superstar galácticos is over. For the club president, last season marked a decisive shift in the way the team wins: a strong collective, clear values, and a coherent project built around Luis Enrique, whom he describes as “the best coach in the world.”
The blingbling era is gone. AlKhelaïfi now insists on a sustainable model: “We want to have the best players in the world, our young players, develop our youth teams and thereby secure the club’s future — not just today’s results, which are important, but above all the longterm future of the club.”
“And that’s why I truly appreciate this award. This recognition honours my work and that of the entire club,” said the PSG president.
PSG does not follow others
The president reiterated that the Academy must become a central pillar: “At Paris SaintGermain, we always want to think differently, to be different: we have big ambitions, we do not follow others. Football means everything to us. But we are also much more than a football team. We focus on sport, health and education.”
“From Academy prospects to the men’s and women’s first teams, we want to develop good players, but also educated players who embody PSG’s values. And today, you can see the result: an extraordinary training centre combined with a true place of learning.”
AlKhelaïfi sums up this new identity with a strong slogan: “The future of Paris SaintGermain will be born here, not bought. It will be Made in Paris, for Paris.” A clear way of affirming that the real star of PSG now is the team itself.
