And he clearly loves his successors. Speaking to The National News, the PSG legend immediately approved of the Portuguese duo shining this season under Luis Enrique.
Verratti Impressed by PSG’s Portuguese Midfield
“They are the same height as me and we share the same way of playing and seeing football,” Verratti first joked with his usual sense of humor.
But behind the joke, the Italian mostly expressed huge admiration for the two Portuguese midfielders, who have become essential pieces in Luis Enrique’s PSG setup. “They are two very important players for the club. I enjoy watching them,” admitted the former Parisian number 6.
A massive compliment coming from Marco Verratti, considered by many to be one of the greatest midfielders in PSG history. And naturally, seeing the Italian fully endorse Vitinha and Joao Neves will only increase the hype surrounding the Portuguese duo in Paris.
