Viva la Paella… Mbappé Flourishes in Madrid: “Less Speed, More Life than in Paris”

Kylian Mbappé, who left PSG in the summer of 2024, has fully embraced life at Real Madrid. With 17 goals already this season, a constant smile, and a calmer lifestyle, the French superstar seems to have no regrets about leaving Paris.

In an interview with Brut, the captain of Les Bleus spoke candidly about his new daily life in Spain — with honesty and humor. Mbappé didn’t hesitate to compare the two cities:

“Here I’m less in the speed. Paris is a city that has no time for anyone — it rushes, and you have to keep up with it. Here, you can have your own rhythm, take time to do things, to enjoy things. In Paris it’s cold, here it’s beautiful. Winter is tough but lasts two months at most — otherwise, it’s sun all year, and it changes your mood.”

“Life is great here. People are welcoming, kind, respectful”

He also praised Madrid’s lifestyle — and cuisine: “Life is great here. People are welcoming, kind, respectful. It’s a real pleasure to live this new experience every day. And yes, the paella… People will say it’s cliché, but it’s really good!”

A happier, calmer Mbappé, far from Parisian pressure. Less stress, more sun… and still plenty of goals. Madrid suits him perfectly.
Though one thing is certain: his words may not sit well with PSG fans still attached to their capital.
