The split between Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain has taken a completely wild turn. The French superstar is demanding more than €250 million from the club… while PSG is counter-attacking with its own claim of €4400 million. A financial war of blockbuster proportions.
According to Le Parisien, Mbappé’s massive claim is based on damages and interest, the failure to requalify his fixed-term contract as a permanent one, and unpaid wages and bonuses. A stunning request that has sent shockwaves through the football world.
But PSG isn’t backing down. The club is demanding millions in return, accusing Mbappé of breaking an oral commitment not to leave on a free transfer—something they believe caused a huge financial setback.
A €300M transfer offer… refused!
To strengthen its case, PSG has revived a bombshell file: a €300 million offer from Saudi Arabia in January 2023, made public at the time. Mbappé refused it. For PSG, that rejection already cost the club a fortune and ruined a chance at a record-breaking sale.
The real numbers: astronomical
– Kylian Mbappé claims €253 million from PSG.
This includes unpaid salaries, bonuses (including a €36.6M signature installment), various indemnities, damages, and requests tied to requalifying his contract.
– PSG counters with a €440 million claim.
The club argues it suffered major financial harm, including €180 million for the “loss of chance” tied to the failed transfer to Al Hilal in 2023.
The result? A colossal legal showdown. Mbappé says he was wronged by PSG. PSG accuses its former superstar of deceiving the club to leave for free.
One thing is certain: the battle has only just begun, and the millions are flying faster than the goals.
Decision scheduled for December 16.
