Held in Qatar over the past few days due to the tense situation in the Middle East, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi had been unable to attend the first leg between PSG and Chelsea. The Parisian club president has now arrived in London to support his team.
Stuck in Qatar because of the geopolitical situation in the region, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi missed the Champions League round of 16 first leg that PSG won against Chelsea (5–2). However, the situation has eased in recent hours. According to RMC Sport, the Parisian club president was able to leave Doha and landed in London on Sunday morning.
Nasser Al-Khelaïfi attends UEFA meeting before PSG’s trip to London
Upon arriving in the English capital, the Qatari executive notably took part in an important meeting organized with UEFA. It marked a key step before he is set to reunite with the Parisian delegation in the coming hours.
PSG players, managed by Luis Enrique, are expected to arrive in London on Monday to prepare for the match. They will hold their final training session later in the day on the Stamford Bridge pitch. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi will be present on Tuesday evening (9 p.m.) to watch the Champions League round of 16 second leg against Chelsea, broadcast on Canal+ Foot.
