Pep Guardiola didn’t hide his admiration. Asked to comment on Paris Saint-Germain’s stunning 5–0 Champions League final win over Inter Milan, the Manchester City manager praised Luis Enrique’s side for a “remarkable” performance.
Gracious in defeat, Guardiola reflected on PSG’s triumph after being eliminated by the French champions earlier in the competition. “Wow! I didn’t expect that kind of scoreline. Inter are a great team, but PSG have reached an incredible level this season. They had been chasing this title for a long time—just like we did in 2023—and they achieved it in spectacular fashion,” Guardiola told YouTuber Wiloo.

The Catalan coach also had kind words for his Spanish counterpart: “I’m really happy for Luis Enrique, his players, and his staff. They’ve built a top-class squad.”
But Guardiola’s message wasn’t just praise—it came with a warning: “Now everyone wants to beat PSG. And so do we!”
A sincere tribute… and the first shot fired ahead of next season’s battles.
