After his devastating tackle that sent Achraf Hakimi off the field in tears, Luis Diaz has finally broken his silence. Sent off just before halftime during PSG–Bayern, the Colombian shared a first message on Instagram.
Not overwhelmed by his coach Vincent Kompany, defended by his teammates… but insulted on social media. Luis Diaz is in turmoil after harshly tackling and injuring Achraf Hakimi. But the Bayern Munich player does not apologize… quite the opposite.
No apology
“t was a night full of emotions. Football always reminds us that in 90 minutes, anything can happen the best and the worst. I was sad not to finish the match with my teammates, but proud of their incredible effort. Wishing Hakimi a quick return to the pitch”, he wrote.
This statement comes as the Moroccan could miss several weeks of competition. Despite the message, the gesture continues to spark controversy. The Diaz–Hakimi saga is far from over.
