On the eve of hosting Metz, PSG released a medical update concerning four players, including Ousmane Dembélé.
Sidelined with a left calf issue sustained against Monaco, Ousmane Dembélé will not be available: “After feeling discomfort in his left calf during the match against Monaco, Ousmane Dembélé will undergo indoor training over the next few days,” the club announced. In a press conference, Luis Enrique confirmed a cautious approach: “It was a knock. We have the mindset of taking no risks with players. Injuries are part of football.” The medical staff is therefore opting for precaution.
Injury updates ahead of Metz clash
Still unavailable for competition, Fabian Ruiz is making progress: “Fabian Ruiz has resumed individual training.” A return to the squad has not yet been confirmed, but the Spaniard is advancing in his recovery process.
The club also provided updates on two other absentees: “Senny Mayulu continues his treatment. Quentin Ndjantou has begun his care protocol.” Luis Enrique acknowledged that the succession of physical setbacks is influencing his management: “What has changed my mindset this year is the number of injuries. I can’t rotate many players.” Paris will therefore have to cope with a depleted squad against Metz, in a context where every rotation is now carefully calculated.
