In just a few hours, the clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Lille will take place this Friday at the Parc des Princes (9 PM, 18th matchday of Ligue 1 2025-2026). The press generally agrees on the main lines of the eleven that Luis Enrique should field. Two newspapers, Le Parisien and L’Équipe, have each proposed their probable lineup… with very few differences.
In both cases, PSG would play in a 4-3-3 formation with an unchanged and highly anticipated attacking trio: Barcola, Dembélé, and Kvaratskhelia. An explosive attacking sector that must make the difference against a solid Lille defense.
At the back, the same observation: Mendes, Pacho, Marquinhos, and Zaïre-Emery would form the defensive line in front of Chevalier in goal. Again, total consensus between the two media outlets.
Without Joao Neves
It is ultimately in midfield that the only real divergence lies. For L’Équipe, Fabián Ruiz would accompany Vitinha and Désiré Doué. For Le Parisien, it is Senny Mayulu who would be preferred over the Spaniard, in a bolder and younger choice.
Aside from this Mayulu – Ruiz duel, the rest of the team seems already locked in. This shows that Luis Enrique now has a clear backbone, despite a squad that is still slightly diminished.
It remains to be seen whether the Spanish coach will rely on the youth and energy of Mayulu or on the experience and control of Ruiz for this crucial match in the race for the top of the table, against a confident fourth-placed LOSC.
A single small difference
Here are the two probable lineups for PSG according to the press for the match against Lille this Friday (18th matchday of Ligue 1, 9 PM at the Parc des Princes):
According to Le Parisien (4-3-3)
Chevalier – Zaïre-Emery, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes – Vitinha, Mayulu, Doué – Dembélé, Barcola, Kvaratskhelia.
According to L’Équipe (4-3-3)
Chevalier – Zaïre-Emery, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes – Vitinha, Ruiz, Doué – Dembélé, Barcola, Kvaratskhelia.
