The European clash between Paris Saint-Germain (current Champions League holders) and Tottenham (current Europa League winners) for the 5th matchday will be officiated by German referee Felix Zwayer.
The 44-year-old international referee, who has managed 39 Champions League matches, is a controversial choice due to an incident in his past:
Past Controversy: In 2005, Zwayer was suspended for six months by UEFA after being involved in a match-fixing scandal in the German 2. Bundesliga. While serving as an assistant referee, he accepted €300 to cover up the corruption of a fellow central referee. He has since rebuilt his career to become a top-tier international official.
