Rodrygo Wants to Join PSG, Summer Deal Taking Shape

Rodrygo has suffered a serious injury to his right knee, bringing the Real Madrid winger’s season to an abrupt end. Coming on as a substitute against Getafe, the Brazilian felt immediate pain, and medical tests later confirmed a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament as well as a tear of the external meniscus. An injury that could accelerate his departure… and significantly reduce his market value.

Rodrygo’s severe injury changes everything. The 25-year-old will miss the remainder of the season with Real Madrid and will also be unable to take part in the upcoming World Cup with Brazil. Already slowed down by several injuries in recent months and rarely used lately, the winger now sees his campaign end suddenly.

PSG and Chelsea Monitoring Rodrygo’s Situation

Despite the difficult circumstances, Rodrygo is reportedly considering leaving Real Madrid at the end of the season, even though he remains under contract until 2028. The Madrid club would not necessarily block a transfer if a strong offer arrives, with Florentino Pérez willing to listen to potential proposals.

The Brazilian’s value has already dropped sharply, falling from around €110 million in 2024 to roughly €60 million today due to his limited playing time. Two clubs are closely monitoring the situation: PSG and Chelsea.

Luis Enrique is said to appreciate Rodrygo’s profile as a reinforcement for the right side of Paris’ attack, while the Blues could attempt a major move, especially if they qualify for the next Champions League. However, this serious injury could make some suitors hesitate, particularly PSG, while also pushing his transfer fee even lower on the market.
