Six titles out of seven in 2025, PSG makes football history

Paris Saint-Germain made history in French football this Wednesday with a sixth title on the global stage, although the picture is not entirely complete after their defeat in the Club World Cup final.

By winning the Intercontinental Cup against Flamengo (1-1, 2-1 on penalties), the Parisian club became the first French team to be crowned in an interclub competition organized by FIFA, across all formats, whether the Intercontinental Cup or the Club World Cup.

A historic sextuple crown

This success caps an exceptional 2025 season. Like FC Barcelona in 2009 and Bayern Munich in 2020, PSG finished the season with six trophies: the Trophée des Champions, Ligue 1, Coupe de France, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and the Intercontinental Cup.

The only blemish is the Club World Cup, lost in the final to Chelsea (3-0), which prevented Paris from achieving a historic seven out of seven. But with this sextuple, PSG has definitively entered a new dimension.
