Invited on RMC’s After, Leonardo didn’t hold back. According to the former PSG sporting director, the real turning point for Paris Saint-Germain wasn’t a big signing, a superstar, or a coaching change… but a €300 million investment: the PSG Campus.
For Leonardo, PSG’s Champions League triumph is no coincidence. It is directly linked to this state-of-the-art training center that completely transformed the players’ daily environment.
“People don’t realize how crucial this facility is,” he insisted. In his view, the Campus isn’t a flashy luxury project — it is a high-performance machine that elevates everything: preparation, recovery, organization, and overall professionalism. PSG finally has an infrastructure worthy of its ambitions.
“The Camp des Loges was very difficult”
Leonardo also highlighted how far the club has come:
“The Camp des Loges was very difficult. It had nothing to do with what PSG has today.”
His message couldn’t be clearer: PSG didn’t rise to European glory solely because of its stars, but because it built an elite environment, matching Europe’s most successful clubs.
For Leonardo, this so-called “€300 million detail” is anything but superficial. It’s the foundation of performance — and one of the key reasons PSG finally lifted the Champions League trophy.
