Paris Saint-Germain are preparing for a particularly intense week, shaped by the Champions League and an away trip in Ligue 1. Two matches that could well tip PSG’s season one way or the other. The Parisians will begin their schedule on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the PSG Campus with a closed-door training session.
The following day, Tuesday, January 27, will be devoted to the media buildup for the European fixture, with the first fifteen minutes of training open to the media late in the morning, followed by a club press conference at the PSG Campus. In the afternoon, Newcastle United will speak at the Parc des Princes before holding their own session there, with the opening quarter-hour also accessible to the media.
A do-or-die European night
The week’s headline event will take place on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the Parc des Princes, where Paris Saint-Germain will host Newcastle United at 9:00 p.m. on matchday eight of the Champions League. After the match, Luis Enrique will attend a press conference and the players will be available in the mixed zone. A win would put PSG in the Top 8; a defeat could mean the playoffs.
But there will be no time to catch their breath. The very next day, Thursday, January 29, the Parisians will return to training at the PSG Campus with a closed session late in the morning. Friday, January 30, will be a rest day, before another closed session on Saturday, January 31, also late in the morning, followed by a Paris Saint-Germain press conference.
The week will conclude on Sunday, February 1, 2026, with a trip to Strasbourg. PSG will face RC Strasbourg at 8:45 p.m. at the Meinau stadium for matchday 20 of Ligue 1. As after the European match, Luis Enrique will speak at a press conference and the players will be available in the mixed zone after the game. This entire schedule is, of course, subject to change.
