João Neves will be eligible to face Tottenham in the UEFA Super Cup on August 13 in Udine. Despite his red card during the Club World Cup, the Portuguese midfielder has avoided suspension.
According to Le Parisien, no disciplinary action will be taken. There was no official report filed by the referees, and FIFA has not opened any case regarding the incident. UEFA has also not notified PSG of any upcoming suspension.
This clears the way for Luis Enrique to count on one of his key midfielders for PSG’s first official match of the 2025–26 season — a huge boost for the club as Neves continues to cement his role in the starting XI.
