Following PSG’s 3-2 victory over Brest, coach Luis Enrique expressed his concerns during an interview with Amazon Prime.
“It was a close call. A loss was just around the corner,” Enrique stated after PSG’s hard-fought 3-2 win against Brest. He acknowledged the challenges of the match, pointing out both positive and challenging aspects, while also recognizing moments when Brest demonstrated their superiority.
“I think there were several phases to the game. We had several opportunities and scored goals, but then we conceded one. At the end of the first half and in the second half, they were better than us. They controlled the game, and we suffered a lot. I was almost afraid we would lose. In the end, we got the penalty, secured three points, and I’m happy,” Luis Enrique admitted.
He also addressed the tension surrounding Kylian Mbappé, especially concerning his second goal and subsequent exit. “I don’t like this kind of thing. It’s better to try to enjoy the moment. Everything related to football should radiate positive energy. I’m not exactly sure what happened.”
The post-match interview highlighted the anxiety Enrique experienced during the game, emphasizing how closely PSG escaped a potential loss.
