“All Against Mbappé”: Giroud Previews the PSG-Milan AC Clash
On Wednesday night, PSG hosts Milan AC in the Champions League, a crucial match in the “Group of Death,” as emphasized by Olivier Giroud.
The PSG vs. Milan match in Paris is a fixture not seen in quite some time, especially following Milan’s defeat to Newcastle. Ahead of the clash, Olivier Giroud shares his thoughts and promises special attention for Kylian Mbappé.
“We are well aware of their offensive strength because the front 3-4 players are indeed very talented. So, we must be wary of everyone, but of course, Kylian in particular. I think we will defend against him collectively, that’s for sure,” said the 37-year-old forward in an interview on Canal Football Club.
“We are in this ‘Group of Death,’ and it produces exciting matches. I don’t know if I’ll be playing in the Champions League next season, so I’m savoring it this year. But to have fun, we need victories, and I really hope we can progress from this group. Against PSG, it’s not THE decisive match, but we must try to take what we can,” he added on Telefoot.
“We must avoid defeat, but if we can win, we won’t hold back. We are ambitious, and we won’t play catenaccio; that’s not the coach’s style. We’ll see if we press or let them have the ball. In the coming days, we will exchange banter with other French players, but for now, we are keeping our distance. I scored with the French national team and a brace with Montpellier at Parc des Princes,” Giroud noted.
