Randal Kolo Muani opened the scoring in the match against Greece (2-2) on Tuesday, in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
French national team forward Randal Kolo Muani found the back of the net for the first time in almost a year. Before scoring in Athens, his last goal for the national team dated back to December 14, 2022, against Morocco (2-0) in the World Cup semi-final.
This goal comes as a boost for him, especially considering his struggles to find his rhythm at PSG, having scored only three goals since the start of the season.
“This goal is good for confidence. It’s been a while since I scored for the French national team; I was waiting for it, and I hope it will be followed by others. My goal was to regain pleasure on the field, play again; I had missed it… Have a bit more of the ball, gain confidence… It was a matter of automatisms,” said Randal Kolo Muani after the match.
