In an interview with L’Équipe, the Italian midfielder emphasized the importance of his friend and mentor, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, within the capital club. However, he revealed that the Swede could sometimes be very tough.
“Zlatan contributed a lot – and I’m speaking for the club as well. He brought this conviction, the idea that we should always dream big. Even when we weren’t favored, Ibra instilled confidence in everyone to give their all,” acknowledged the former Pescara player. “This also applied to the club’s employees: he always pushed them to the maximum. It was tough; he could be mean, but in a group, someone like that makes you grow.”
