PSG’s transfer business is still far from over. With only a few days remaining before the window closes, Paris still wants to make moves in both directions, with several departures to finalize and three profiles being targeted to strengthen Luis Enrique’s squad.
PSG’s transfer window has focused on a handful of arrivals in just a few days: Torres, Akliouche and Godts. The wave of signings came quickly, but the club may not be completely finished yet. The first major situation concerns Bradley Barcola. The French winger is still expected to join Liverpool, with his entourage reportedly remaining confident that a positive outcome can be reached. If the transfer goes through, it could even become the biggest sale ever made by a Ligue 1 club to a foreign team.
PSG targeting three positions before the deadline
Ibrahim Mbaye’s situation also needs to be resolved. The young forward is now looking elsewhere and is believed to have moved away from a potential switch to Liverpool. Another club has reportedly taken the lead in recent days, although its identity has not yet emerged. In terms of arrivals, Paris are currently considering three positions: a goalkeeper, a right-footed centre-back who can also play at right-back, and a winger capable of making runs in behind. The versatile defender is currently believed to be the recruitment priority.
In attack, Luis Enrique is reportedly looking primarily for a mobile player. Lyon youngster Adil Hamdani, 17, fits that profile. Capable of playing in several attacking positions, he has still not signed the first professional contract offered to him by OL several months ago, and PSG are therefore closely monitoring his situation.
Paris now want to anticipate their future needs more effectively by recruiting very young players before they break through at the highest level. This strategy also explains their interest in Laciné Megnan-Pavé, although Montpellier do not want to sell him this summer despite a PSG offer reportedly worth around €10 million. A transfer next summer appears more realistic, although MHSC could then demand a very significant fee.
