PSG Must Decide Between Two Top Attacking Targets

Yan Diomandé reportedly has the backing of Luis Campos and club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, while Luis Enrique has also approved his profile. PSG have been in contact with the player since December and are said to have reached an agreement on the framework of a future contract as early as June. Despite interest from several European clubs, Diomandé is still believed to favor a move to Paris.

The main obstacle remains RB Leipzig’s asking price of around €120 million, a valuation that has also discouraged Liverpool and Arsenal. Al-Khelaïfi is now personally involved in negotiations in an attempt to lower the fee or find a deal structure that could unlock the transfer. The situation is further complicated by the player’s representation, as Diomandé is reportedly tied to two different agencies.

On the other hand, Eli Junior Kroupi is said to be Luis Enrique’s top priority following the departure of Gonçalo Ramos and the expected exit of Randal Kolo Muani. The Spanish coach reportedly views the young French forward as a perfect fit for his tactical project thanks to his mobility, technical ability, and versatility across the front line. Kroupi is also believed to be enthusiastic about joining PSG and working under Luis Enrique.

Bournemouth, however, are not prepared to sell cheaply and could demand a significant transfer fee. Even so, the deal is considered more achievable than Diomandé’s. According to PSGINSIDE-ACTUS, PSG are expected to sign only one of the two players, meaning their attacking recruitment could ultimately come down to a choice between Diomandé and Kroupi.
